Aldford Junior Department ‘Where children come first’
Welcome to the Junior and Infant Department of Abbey Gate College Our school is based in the picturesque village of Aldford (2 ½ miles from our main College site). We offer an enviable combination of teaching excellence and a high level of pastoral care, made possible by small class sizes and our dedicated teaching staff. Our broad curriculum and wide range of extra curricular activities provide countless opportunities for our children to learn new things and thoroughly enjoy their primary education. Our aim is to provide an education underpinned by the strong belief that learning should be a happy and rewarding experience for all involved. Our children are all big fish in a small pond and they are encouraged to contribute positively to their education. Their contribution is valued and in turn they are taught to value the contributions of others.The school has an ethos and sense of purpose that encourages pupils, regardless of their ability, to learn. Our pupils leave Aldford with a wide range of academic and social skills, great self confidence and self belief and an enjoyment for learning that will enable them to meet the challenge of the Senior School.
