Aldford School Pirate Day

Ahoy there m’ hearties! April 1st saw the Infant Department transformed into pirates and mermaids!

The children in Infant One had been learning about Pirates and boats as part of their topic and had previously visited the Maritime Museum in Liverpool and learned sea shanties in music.

Pirate Day was great fun with the children working in mixed age groups to design a boat that would float, they made flags for their ships and even made Mrs Findlay walk the plank!

The children paraded in their costumes for the rest of the school to see and it was agreed that the teachers’ outfits would certainly give Jack Sparrow a run for his money! Another educational,  creative and fun day at Aldford School.
