Aldford at Manchester Airport
On Monday 7th November, the pupils of Infant 1 and Foundation visited the airport. They had a fantastic day, learning all about aeroplanes and the people who work at the airport.
Five year old pupil, Sam Tomlins, came to tell me all about his day....
We went on minibus – it only took about one hour and when we were coming back we had a sleep.
When we got there we went on an old broken aeroplane. There was still the pilot’s part in it. We went in it and had a look around and saw a film of it flying and then of it being taken apart. We all got to dress up and I dressed up as the Captain with his hat on.
We had a tour around of the airport and we saw how the aeroplanes work. We also saw a concorde which was the fastest aeroplane. The Queen sits in the front and Michael Jackson sat in the fourth seat.
After lunch a big aeroplane with an upstairs and downstairs was flying out. We didn’t go on that one – that was a real aeroplane that takes you to a different country. The pilot waved at us and we all waved back.
When we got back, I told Mrs Findlay that the trip to the airport was awesome!
