Medieval Banquet in Year 2!

On Thursday 24th November, Infant 2 went back in time to the Middle Ages! As part of their topic of ‘Dungeons & Dragons’, they dressed up as knights and ladies and participated in a Medieval Banquet.

Some of the pupils have shared their favourite parts of the afternoon: Knight Alessandro told how he enjoyed eating jelly with his hands whilst Knight Harry liked eating the pork pies and beef. Knight Matthew enjoyed dressing up in his costume and Knight Alexander simply said he enjoyed it all!
The children sampled food from chargers served on a trencher (a piece of bread) and drank (ginger) beer from hand-made goblets! The costumes were fantastic; the children enjoyed dressing up and getting into character- we even had a King called Kitt! Thank you to all parents for the fabulous costumes!
