Much coveted mug finds a home

Mr Gallagher’s Year 8 pupils were recently tasked to present an eye catching version of the Periodic Table of the Elements.

 
The table was simplified to contain only the first eighteen elements.  Several pupils had spotted Mr Gallagher’s “Cool” coffee mug and coveted possession of this exceptional drinking utensil.  Accordingly, the ”Cool Mug” was offered as a prize for the best presented Periodic Table.   There were many brilliant and originally presented versions of the table.  Mrs Leach was entrusted with selecting the best entry.  The 44 periodic tables were reduced to a select number of twelve.  These were judged to have been the very best.  Eventually, from this reduced field of runners, Mrs Leach decided that Ben Read’s Periodic Table was a worthy winner of the “Cool Mug”.

Ben’s success in this contest will, no doubt, be a portent for future accolades in Science.
