International Recognition for Evie
In September, Evie attended a training camp in Cardiff to determine whether she would be selected for the Wales Under 17 Netball squad.

They were assessed in social abilities, natural team leading and whether they had a suitable character to represent Wales. This took a lot of the girls by surprise as they thought they would be assessed on their abilities on the court not off it. They had the opportunity to ask questions to the Welsh team that went to Singapore and discovered their day to day fitness regimes and what to eat and how to conduct yourself in public.
The second of the 2 day camp started with an hour of fitness training and after a quick break, a full day of match play began. Evie really enjoyed the whole experience of meeting new friends and playing an exceptionally high standard of netball and her performances were judged good enough to be selected for the Wales squad.
Evie will be attending training camps and playing matches every month and will represent Wales in a British Isles Netball Tournament to be held in Ireland in the summer. This will undoubtedly be a tremendous experience for Evie and despite being only 15, she is looking forward to the challenge of playing girls older than herself.
