Young Entrepreneurs Shine in Apprentice Challenge
Abbey Gate College Headmistress Lynne Horner took on the role of Lord Alan Sugar to challenge students with an Apprentice-style task for the school nominated house charity.

The Head appeared on school video link to set Year 9 students the task of creating promotional products that could be sold by The Neuromuscular Centre to raise funds for the Winsford based charity.
Sixty students were given a day to create marketing and sales plans and to design and make fund-raising products for sale. The 10 teams then had to present their ideas in a business boardroom situation, to mirror the hit BBC show.
Abbey Gate College’s Head of Design and Technology, David Stockley, said the students did a fantastic job. By the end of the day they had produced some wonderful products. I am hoping that The Neuromuscular Centre.
will consider adopting some of the products for general sale,” he added.
The winning team; Infinity was led by Project Manager Barney Franklin. Infinity produced a wide range of high quality products and really worked well together to seal the win and be ‘hired.’
Barney said that the team worked very well together; a sentiment echoed by all his team members.
