Abbey Gate College A Level Success

Abbey Gate College A level students achieved record results this year. 

AlevelresultsThe students averaged 334 UCAS points with a pass rate of 84% at grades A* to C and with no pupil achieving less than a D grade in their final A2 examinations.  Special mention must go to Jennifer Jardine from Chester  who achieved A* grades in Geography and Biology and an A grade in Chemistry; Jennifer is going to read Oceanography at Southampton University and we look forward to hearing of her continued success in the future.  Georgia Witt from Nantwich who achieved straight A grades in French, Geography and German and Matthew Heath who achieved A grades in English Literature, History, Music and Theatre Studies. 

Other high achieving pupils include Matthew Andrews (2 A’s and 1 B), Robert Cross (2 A’s and 1B), Georgina Gardner Stockley (1A*, 2A’s and 2 B’s), Molly Green (2 A’s and 1 B), Georgia Ioannou (2 A’s and 2 B’s) and Elizabeth Nock (2 A’s and 1B).  The students achieved considerable success in achieving the university courses and following the career paths of their choice and Headmistress Lynne Horner commended the efforts of all students. "I am very proud of our Sixth Formers' achievements. They are a promising group of young people with many talents, as well as academic ability. I am sure each student will make a great success of their future and I wish them well."
