Abbey Gate College GCSE Results

Congratulations go to all of the pupils in Year 11 at Abbey Gate College who achieved at or above their academic potential once again. 

A pass rate of 99.8% includes 67% of pupils who achieved A* - B grades in their GCSE and GCSE equivalent qualifications.

Particular mention goes to Simon Povey (4 A*’s, 8 A’s and 1 B) and Alistair Webb (5 A*’s, 5 A’s and 3 B’s) who both achieved highly in their GCSE examinations.

Other high achievers include Catherine Heylings (8 A*’s and 1 A), Francesca Shaw (7 A*’s and 2 A’s), Danica Astbury (6A*’ s and 3 A’s) and Poppy Parker (3 A*’s and 6 A’s).  Tuesday Knowles and Georgia Makin-Hughes both achieved (5 A*’s, 3 A’s and 1 B), while Myles Reid and George Siddorn were very successful by obtaining  (3 A*’s, 5 A’s and 1 B).

Headmistress Lynne Horner praised the efforts of both staff and pupils by saying “ Another year of hard work and success for staff and pupils with some outstanding successes yet again.  I commend the dedication of the teachers and the efforts of all of those in Year 11“.
