A team of 5 College swimmers travelled to Coventry on Saturday 18th May to represent the North of England in the 40th National ISA Swimming Championship. The visiting teams all played with great consistency and some excellent batting, seeing wins in all their games bar one. Year 9 outshone the visitors though, with some incredibly slick fielding and some outstanding batting. The short trip to Upton on a glorious, sunny afternoon with a quick outfield and short boundaries boded well for a high scoring match. When the Upton opener hit two exquisite cover drives for 4 from the first 2 balls of the match a long day in the field was to be expected. Cricket - Under 13's v Bishop's Bluecoat - AGC won by 47 runs
The first fixture of the season saw a combined Year 7 and 8 team bat first. Charlie Stratton quickly got the measure of the bowling and hit many crisp shots on his way to an undefeated 30 (retired not out).
