The under 14 team consisting of mainly Year 8 boys managed to win their league on the basis they fulfilled the most fixtures and won 5 of the nine matches drawing 2 in the process. Goal difference was the deciding factor so congratulations on retaining this trophy for another year.

Well done to all the squad.

Under 14s v Hillcrest Grammar School (Home) – ISA League

Won 16 – 0

Scorers: Joshua Marrs (7), Tom Donald (2), Connor McGovern-Scott (2), Henry Smith (2), William Littlewood,  Alistair Marks & James Faulkner.

As the score line suggests, a very comfortable win for the U14s who dominated the game so much that the opposition only managed to get into the College half on five occasions.

The College passed the ball around well and took their chances well.  Joshua Marrs proved to be the player to apply the final finish as he scored seven times in only thirty five minutes of play.  All players had a part to play in all goals and the back three of Joshua Molyneux, Oliver Huxley and Jorge Percival did not break into a sweat all game.  A fine performance from all involved, which puts the College team right up at the top of the ISA league.

Man of the Match: Joshua Marrs, a double hat-trick, he could not have made a better contribution.

Under 14s V Shrewsbury School (Away)

Won 5—1

Goal scorers: Tom Donald (2), Billy Reeves, Connor McCovern and Otis Chamberlain.

A comfortable victory on a blustery afternoon where a team comprising of eight Yr 8 boys out passed and out classed a spirited Shrewsbury team.

An early strike by Billy Reeves was soon followed by an excellent brace by Tom Donald who also managed to break clear on three further occasions in the first fifteen minutes only to narrowly miss. The quality of movement of all the players meant Shrewsbury ended up chasing shadows in a dominant first half.
Half time 3-0.

Despite  a number of changes and the conceding of a goal which was only due to a goalkeeping handling error. Our first choice goal keeper, Otis Chamberlain, who was now playing in midfield managed to run the length of the pitch to slide in a well deserved goal to restore the three goal cushion. Further pressure resulted in a foul on Eddie Speed for which a penalty was awarded. Fergus Cowper’s kick was saved but Connor McCovern managed to squeeze the rebound under the floundering goalkeeper.

An excellent work out for all the boys who displayed great team work.

Man of the Match: Edward Speed: Supported play at all times and passed the ball intelligently.

Under 14s V Mostyn House (home) - ISA League Match

Won 7—0

A very convincing win for the Under 14s saw Henry Smith record another hat-trick of goals.  The College was far too strong for their opponents and the game was very much one way traffic.  Henry Smith opened the scoring after just four minutes with a well taken finish.  The College’s second goal came a few moments later with a long distance strike from Edward Speed; the ball was struck superbly and flew into the near top corner of the net.  The first half ended 6-0 with Henry Smith grabbing another two goals and Joshua Mars scored two himself, which very much ended any chance of a come back from the visitors.

The second half was also dominated by the home side who kept possession extremely well and this resulted in the 11 man squad of Mostyn House becoming very tired.  Tom Donald capped a great build up and end to the second half with a neat finish passed the on rushing opposing goal keeper.

Well done to all involved.

Man of the Match: Henry Smith for his well taken hat-trick.
