On Monday 10th November the Girls Football Team took part in the Chester and District 5-a-side competition. This was their first ever competition and they acquitted themselves very well.
The first two games were very equal affairs though they lost 3-1 and 2-0. The girls dominated their third match and Zoe Karavasili, who took over in goal for this game had very little to do. They could not however break down a stubborn Catholic High defence and the game ended 0-0.
The Girls finished 3rd in their group and just missed out on qualifying for the next round. Congratulations go to all of the players, especially Libby Smith who currently has the accolade of being the top scorer with.....one goal!
