The College

Governors

The Board of Governors at the College is a highly committed and hard working group who give of their time freely to support the leadership team and drive forward the College to further success in the future.

We still have on the Board a number of the founding governors, parents who took on the task of setting up the College 35 years ago, and continue to support it to this day.  They set it up to provide a co-educational independent school in Chester, which was dedicated to ensuring that every child who comes to the College will reach their potential in all areas.  As it says in our prospectus, “at Abbey Gate College we have a clear vision that education is about building self esteem, a love of learning and a desire to ensure that boys and girls fulfil their potential in all aspects of the curriculum and beyond”. This is still our mission today and the Board will work tirelessly to ensure that this continues in the future.
