Senior School Sports Day Under Sunny Skies

The 2023 edition of Sports Day finally took place on Thursday 29 June, under beautiful blue skies – for those who may recall the incredibly changeable weather from Sports Day 2022 – this was a welcome relief!
The Javelin competition preceded the main event and saw a long-standing record fall in the Year 9 Girls’ competition.
The afternoon event saw students from Years 8-11 compete fiercely for the Inter-house Relay Shield and the Bunting Relay Shield and included the breaking of a Year 9 Boys’ 100m record.
There were some excellent performances from all three houses which meant the lead ebbed and flowed throughout the day. However, it was Hastings, who started the day as underdogs, that took the clean sweep on the day.
Huge congratulations to all the students who competed so admirably throughout the day and a massive thank you to the PTA for providing refreshments (and ice lollies) and to the Senior School staff for helping to run the event.
