All catering at Abbey Gate College is provided by our in-house kitchen team, managed by Chartwells Independent, who specialise in high quality catering for independent schools, and in using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients.
Our experienced chefs and catering staff at Abbey Gate College deliver appealing and tasty meals to all pupils at both the Infant & Junior School and Senior School. There are plenty of choices for meat lovers and vegetarians alike, as well as pasta, jacket potato, and sandwich options, along with a full salad bar and range of desserts. The termly menus are designed in consultation with students, and aim to provide a fresh, innovative and nutritionally-balanced offer, five days a week.
We cater for dietary needs, including vegan, halal, gluten and dairy free. Through Chartwells Independent, we also make every effort to be as ethical and sustainable as possible, with regard to daily practices, sourcing of food, and actual ingredients. Abbey Gate College aims to be as nut-free as possible at all times, including products that may contain traces of nuts or have been handled in factories that process nuts.
