Co-Curricular Curiosity, Confidence and Community

A first-class education extends well beyond the classroom, and at Abbey Gate College our co-curricular programme plays a central role in that wider journey. It is here that interests are ignited, talents are tested, and friendships flourish. Whether pursuing a long-held passion or trying something entirely new, pupils are encouraged to take part, take risks and take pride in their progress.

Across the College, our activities offer a lively and varied complement to academic life. They provide space to collaborate, compete, create and contribute, all while building confidence and character in equal measure.

In the Infant and Junior School, our programme is rich, varied and carefully curated to capture young imaginations. From creative arts and musical ensembles to sporting pursuits and thoughtful clubs that encourage reflection and curiosity, there is something to suit every interest. Popular options such as Running Club, Choir, Ju-jitsu, Rugbytots, Art Club, Quiz Team, Band and Just Sing sit alongside a broad and ever-evolving selection, ensuring pupils are both inspired and engaged.

At the Senior School, the offering expands further, with more than 70 clubs running each week. Pupils can immerse themselves in everything from College Forum and Debating Society to Drama, Duke of Edinburgh, Geography Club, Music groups, Science Club, Young Engineers and a wide range of sports.

The breadth on offer reflects both the talents of our staff and the interests of our pupils, creating a programme that is as dynamic as it is diverse.
