All catering at Abbey Gate College is provided by bespoke catering company, Thomas Franks who specialise in catering for independent schools using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

The experienced catering team at Abbey Gate College deliver delicious meals to pupils at both the Infant & Junior School and Senior School. There are plenty of options for meat lovers and vegetarians alike, including a diverse range of pasta sauces and healthier options such as jacket potatoes, freshly made baguettes and a salad bar.

The menus reflect the high energy of the school week with a fresh, innovative and nutritionally balanced offer five days a week.

A choice of healthy break options, together with modern snacks and pastries, and a selection of fruit and yoghurt pots help keep pupils fuelled up until lunchtime.

Lunch offers soups with freshly baked bread, sandwiches, a choice of two hot mains, vegetables, jacket potatoes, sliced fruit, yoghurts, desserts and a ‘Raw Bar’ salad bar with undressed salads, fresh dressings and healthy proteins. Lunchtime is a relaxing and enjoyable part of the day with regular seasonal pop ups, and special theme days.

With a focus on nutrition, Thomas Franks cater for all special diets including vegan, gluten and dairy free. They are exploring using a wider variety of fruits, vegetables and vegan/vegetarian proteins to keep up with current trends and are using more wholegrains and less refined sugars across the menus.
