Year 9 pupils Joseph Harrison and Ben Cutler were nominated by the College football coaches to take part in the National ISFA trials.
Both boys have really shown impressive and consistent performance when representing the the College throughout the season.
The boys travelled down to London last weekend, the  trials were held at Forest School in Epping Forest. Three draft squads played each other over a round robin of four games of 30 minutes for each team.
Both boys acquitted themselves well and did not look out of place against a number of Academy players also taking part in the trials.
Irrespective of whether the boys go forward to training with the National squad,  they are both playing in local football Academy teams and are making impressive progress at this challenging level of competition.
As co-captains of the Y9 boys football team we are very fortunate to have two players of such high calibre who continue to lead by example.
The team has a bright future ahead as we move into Year 10 and eagerly anticipate the College Barcelona Football Tour in October.
A big thank you to Head of PE, Mr Cutler, for accompanying the boys down to the trial and offering his advice and support throughout.
