We are incredibly proud of Year 4 pupil Toby, who took on the Race for Life 10km last weekend – running every step of the way.
At just 9 years old, Toby was one of the youngest entrants in the event, but that didn’t stop him achieving an extraordinary result. He crossed the finish line in an impressive 54 minutes, placing 17th out of over 330 runners – with only adults ahead of him!
Cheered on by his family, Toby’s determination and energy were truly inspiring. Even more remarkable is the amount he’s raised for Cancer Research UK – over £1,700 so far, plus Gift Aid.
Toby said he really enjoyed the race and, rather impressively, that his legs don’t hurt – a testament to his training and enthusiasm!
A huge well done to Toby on such an incredible achievement, both on the track and for a brilliant cause.
