Abbey Gate College U16s Rugby Team on a Roll!

The College U16 Squad have seen two successive wins in matches played in the last week, one away and one playing host at Saighton Grange.
The squad are a very tight team, whether in practice or competition – their hard work and dedication really shows!
On Thursday 11th November, the team met Wilmslow High School away in the Cheshire Shield, and a terrific performance saw them win with an impressive 24-0.
On Saturday 13th Nov, the team welcomed Scarisbrick Hall to our home pitch. What followed was an extremely physical and hard fought encounter between two evenly matched teams.
With the score 0-0 at half time it was all to play for in the tense second half. Twice behind on the score board, the College team showed incredible grit and determination to run out 15-10 winners.
Well done to all involved, and as always, a huge thanks to our PE Department.
