Abbey Gate College Year 10 Footballers Unlucky in Cheshire Cup

Bishops Blue Coat 4-3 Abbey Gate College.
On Tuesday 24th of January, the College Year 10 squad produced an outstanding performance against the very talented Bishops team, where they were unlucky to end up losing a seven-goal thriller.
Abbey Gate College were quick out of the blocks as Harry F latched onto a loose ball to stroke in the opening goal.
The quality of the opposition play saw Bishops equalise before Alec B slotted home against the run of play for a 1-2 lead.
Will S and Joseph H held the defence together as the home team showed their class extending the lead to 4-2 at half time.
The second half was evenly fought, and Alex B scored a fantastic goal from the edge of the box with 10 minutes remaining.
A few close calls and resilient defending with Rafe S outstanding and Kiran K combative in midfield; chances were still made but not converted in the final few minutes.
A fantastic team effort from Mr Baglole and his players.
