Intense yet Impressive Week of Netball for Abbey Gate College KS3 Teams!

Our KS3 netball teams had a busy week last week, with excellent play on display from all the competitors!
Year 7 v Upton – won 12-2
Year 7 v Blacon – won 7-3
Year 8 v Upton – won 10-3
Year 8 v Blacon – won 7-5
Year 8 v Bishops – won 7-5
Year 9 v Bishops – won 11-7
This busy week was then rounded off with our annual fixture for our Year 7, 8 and 9 Netball teams against King’s, Rydal and Ellesmere on Saturday 5th Feb.
The girls played fantastically well and adapted their game to suit the diverse weather conditions. We were hit with a range of sun, wind and rain…not the perfect weather for netball but the girls showed fantastic College spirit and battled through bringing home some pleasing results nonetheless.
Year 7 results:
V Kings – won 5-2
V Ellesmere – lost 5-4
V Rydal – won 15-2
Year 8 results:
V Kings – won 15-5
V Ellesmere – won 17-3
V Rydal – drew 7-7
Year 9 results:
V Kings 2 – lost 6-4
V Kings 1 – lost 12-7
V Ellesmere – won 12-5
Well done to all of the girls who took part.
