Year 8 and 9 Girls Win Chester and District Basketball Tournament

Congratulations to the Year 8 and 9 girls basketball team who won the Chester & District Girls Basketball Tournament last week, meaning that we have retained our successful title from 2021.
Throughout the tournament our team played against Blacon High School, Catholic High School, Queens Park High School and Upton High School with some fantastic performances on display from all players.
The results were as follows:
AGC v Blacon HS – AGC won 7-4
AGC v Catholic HS- AGC won 4-2
AGC v Queens Park HS – drew 4-4
AGC v Upton HS – won 10-4
At the end of the competition AGC were in joint first place along with Queens Park High School, meaning that due to time constraints goal difference was calculated with AGC coming out in first position.
Well done to all the girls who took part!
