There are numerous aspects of music to get involved with for our pupils, whether their passion is singing, musical instruments or dance.
The Abbey Gate College Chapel Choir rehearses twice a week and performs regular concerts in the Chester area as well as tours abroad.
The Concert Band is a group of pupils where all instrumentalists are encouraged to join. The band rehearse once a week with about three concerts per year.
Saighton Syncopators is a small dance band of more advanced woodwind players specializing in music from the 1920’s – 1950’s. The band is in great demand playing for a variety of social ocassions
The Saightonians is a small barbershop group which rehearses weekly and has recently reformed with new members.
Pupils are also encouraged to form their own ensembles and bands based on their skills and passion for all aspects and genres of music.
Please use the link below to arrange individual tuition with peripatetic instrumental teachers. The tuition is carried out throughout the school day on a weekly rota system.
