Competing against some of the best young athletes from independent schools across the country, our students delivered a fantastic set of performances at the ISA National Athletics Championships, representing Abbey Gate College with skill, determination and pride.
The championships provided an outstanding opportunity for our athletes to compete on a national stage, with students taking part in a wide range of events including the 100m, 200m, 800m, hurdles, relay races, long jump, high jump and javelin. Every athlete should be incredibly proud of their efforts, their commitment throughout the day and the way they represented the College.
A particular mention must go to Tristan L (Year 7), whose achievements were truly exceptional. Tristan produced a superb sprinting performance, claiming gold in both the 100m and 200m, before helping his relay team secure victory. To achieve three national titles at a single championship is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects his dedication, talent and competitive determination.
We are still awaiting the announcement of some final results from the championships and look forward to sharing further news as soon as it is confirmed.
Congratulations to all of our athletes who took part in the ISA National Athletics Championships. Their performances, positive attitude and encouragement of one another made it a memorable and successful day for the College. We look forward to following their continued progress and celebrating their future achievements.
